Arts on the Ave celebrates their 8th year of Deep Freeze Festival on 118 Avenue in the city of Edmonton over the weekend of January 10th and 11th. Cold weather of around -16 Celsius did not stop people from coming out to enjoy the winter activities outdoor and indoor. The festival features diverse culture including Ukrainian, Francophone, Aboriginal and Scandinavian. There are also ice carving, snow sculptures, street hockey, old fashioned skating and curling, artisan cottages, performing arts, and tasty warming winter foods.
