Eleven Korean paper artists came from Wonju, the sister city of Edmonton, to showcase the work of Hanji paper art at a special exhibition during the last week of Works Art & Design Festival from June 24 to July 1. This is a reciprocal visit to Edmonton who put up an exhibition at the Wonju Hanji Festival in 2013.
The work of Wonju master paper artists was displaying at site 11 the World Trade Centre. And a workshop was held on June 28 at Churchill Square where public had an opportunity to try out Korean paper craft making. Edmonton and Wonju are anticipating more art and cultural exchange activities in the future.
