HanTV had a chance to talk to 2013 JUNO award winner country blues singer Crystal Shawanda at a performance at Mercury Room in Edmonton in 2014 after the release of her album The Whole World’s Got The Blues. The album has 10 songs that includes Pray Sister Pray telling the story of and bringing public attention to missing and murdered Aboriginal women across Canada. Her bluesy soulful voice and Aboriginal heritage really make her music very unique and powerful.
