DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS 2014

Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival Association (EDBFA) is hosting its 18th Dragon Boat Festival at Louise McKinney Riverfront Park in Edmonton from August 15th to 17th. This ancient Chinese custom, dragon boating, has become a sports, recreational activity and cultural landscape in Canada. Dragon boating demands strong team work. 20 to 22 paddlers have to synchronize their paddles and propel the boat forward with drum beats rhythm composed by the drummer sitting at the boat front.
